According to studies, there are several views on the name of Talkhooncheh. One view believes that the Talkhoncheh region is a thousand years old. Another view The former name of this city was given to Taleghan Meymant of Tehran, which was the seat of Hassan Sabah and the Ismaili people and lived in Alamut Castle. After the extinction of the Ismaili monarchy and the last king of this tribe named Rokn al-Din Shah, it was overthrown by Holaku Khan, the Mongol of Basat of this tribe throughout Iran. After the extinction of the Ismaili monarchy, over time, Taleghanche became Talkhancheh. Another view states that the original name of this city was “Taleghan Jey”, which became known as Talkhoncheh due to the bloodshed of the Mongol people in this place.
